CONTROVERSY TRAILS STOLEN OGUN ASSEMBLY MACE

  Controversy and mixed grills is said to be trailing the whereabouts of the allegedly stolen ogun Assembly mace.

 While they assembly authority claims to suspected armed men broke Iinto the assembly complex in oke mosa Abeokuta and carted away the house mace which is the legislators symbol authority and also broke into the office of the speaker Rt Hon.kunle oluomo in search of yet to be ascertained items by gaining access through the ceiling in a pre dawn operations evading detection despite security presence,another angle to to them while saga quoted the state Assembly information chairman Hon.Yusuf Adejojo claiming that the HOUSE mace neither stolen or nissing adding that nothing like case of burglary took place In the Assembly complex.

 Meanwhile,the police have waded into the saga with the visit of the state police commissioner Edward Awolowo Ajogun who was in their complexity to asses the situation.

  The state police command public Relatios officer Abimbola oyeyemi said tha Ajogun visited the legislative complex following compliant that the Assembly mace has been carted away by people yet to be identified adding that police has recovered a part of the mace the coat of arm portion of it while the larger part of it was still missing with  no arrest yet.

 Dsp Oyeyemi however revealed that police was getting some clues on the perpetrators of the crime assuring that the hand of law wouldn’t soon catch up with everyone that partook in the act.
