The Delta State Police Command has arrested Chukwunonso Nwoko., a prince in Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state for alleged murder.
His arrest was confirmed by the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr Hafiz Inuwa in Warri on Saturday.
The CP said that the arrest of the self-acclaimed monarch, who is yet to be given the staff of office by the state government, was in connection with a suspected murder case.
Inuwa said, “We have arrested him for a case of suspected murder and efforts were made for him to appear before the police, but he failed to do so.
“So, we arrested him early this morning (Saturday). He is presently with us. He is undergoing investigation.”
The Prince who has been parading himself as the Obi (monarch) of the Kingdom is currently cooling off his heels at the Police cell where he is being interrogated and investigated.
